At the June 1 Detroit CoC Board meeting, the Board approved the Permanent Housing recommendations regarding which projects should be submitted to HUD as Permanent Housing under the anticipated 30% cap and which projects should be reallocated or transitioned. The Board also approved the recommended addendum to the Appeals Policy. Release of FY2026 CoC Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO)

HUD released the FY2026 NOFO on June 1, and the full NOFO can be accessed through Grants.gov. To support agencies through this process, HAND hosted a webinar for all current Detroit CoC recipients on June 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. via Zoom. The webinar provided an overview of the NOFO, as well as information regarding the local renewal application process, including key timelines and deadlines.
