Details: On November 19, 2015, the Homeless Action Network of Detroit (HAND) will host its first ever, "Hustle 4 the Homeless"! This event will be held at Truth Music Cafe (1314 Broadway, Detroit, MI 48226 - located near the corner of Broadway and Gratiot in the Harmonie Park area). We are asking a $25 donation per guest. We are also asking guests to bring a pack of socks, underwear, hygiene products, etc. These items will be given to our guests at our second H.A.W. event, being held on Saturday, November 21st.
By way of a donation, your support will go a long way to assist our community and will also provide an opportunity for you to introduce your business, products, and/or services to our network of supporters, families, and friends. In addition to financial support, donations such as granola or cereal bars, bottled water, and fruit are just a few ways in which you can help. Contributions may be tax-deductible as HAND is a 501 (c) 3 organization.

Details: This year, HAND wishes to give back to the community by way of providing an event for the homeless population and the homeless service providers. On Saturday, November 21st, HAND is hosting an evening of food, fun and fellowship that will cater toward those who are currently experiencing homelessness.
HAND will also be giving out awards to some very special individuals who are formerly homeless, currently housed and living a stable life after having successfully navigated the homeless system. We have received nominations from several agencies for some well-deserving people. It is important that we acknowledge their achievement, perseverance, and effort towards maintaining a life that goes far beyond their past.
If you'd like to donate items (such as hygiene products, socks, underwear, thermal clothing, hats, gloves, scarves, etc.) and/or volunteer for this event, please contact the HAND office ASAP.
