HAND will be holding a mandatory meeting for organizations seeking renewal or new HUD Supportive Housing Program (SHP) or Shelter + Care funding on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at 1:30 PM. The meeting will be held at The Salvation Army of Southeastern Michigan's Divisional Headquarters, located at 16130 Northland Dr, Southfield, MI.

  

This meeting on the 26th will be held in lieu of the regularly-scheduled HAND meeting on July 19th. There will not be a meeting on the 19th; instead, all organizations seeking renewal or new HUD funding must attend the meeting on the 26th.

  

Organizations that currently receive HUD SHP and/or S+C funds are required to send a representative to this meeting, as HAND will be reviewing the 2011 application process for renewal funding.

  

Organizations that are interested in applying for new HUD SHP or S+C funds are also required to attend this meeting. Although HAND can not yet provide details on new projects, potential applicants should be aware that new projects will once again be limited to Permanent Supportive Housing projects.

  

While HUD's Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) has not yet been released, HAND is releasing its application packet. Renewal project applications are due by 4pm on August 12th.  New project applications are due by 4pm on September 9th. The submission deadlines are subject to change upon the release of the NOFA and the due date of the Exhibit 1 submission. Changes in dates will be communicated via email.
